Why PixelGrounds: Infinite? I was going to release PixelGrounds 2 but when I started working on it the front wall of my house needed to be replaced—so I disappeared. Here is a cool image of the title for PG2:

iu_1341897_8306752.pngAfter finding time to work on it again, it was tough to get enough creatives to want to work on it with me.

For PixelGrounds 1, I built a tool to help me create the levels in Unity so that I wouldn’t have to hardcode each coordinate for each level. Here is what that tool looked like:

I thought that this tool was pretty cool, and so I decided to turn it into PixelGrounds: Infinite.

So, players can create custom levels similarly to how I had created the levels in the tool. They can also create the pixel art, share their created levels, and download the pixel art if they want.

The interesting part was finding a way to separate the ‘art’ from the ‘puzzle’:

I also started a game development company called “Team Not So Humble”. We have plans bubbling in the background so stay tuned!

    Happy Pixel Day, everyone!

I submitted a new game for today: PixelGrounds: Infinite

It is a picross puzzle game where you can create custom levels, share them with others to play, and download the pixel art!

Be sure to share your custom levels in the comments (here or there)! I'll be sure to play and comment on them!

    Thanks!

Thank you for the support that PixelGrounds has received already (front page) !!!!

The team I worked with made a lot of amazing art, music, and voice work. This game could not have been made without them! Go play the game to see everything they were able to create and then show them some love!

There are also many other great games out right now! Go check them out!!!!

    HAPPY PIXEL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be making a Newgrounds Nonogram (Picross) game for Pixel Day on Jan 23rd. I love puzzle games and Nonograms are at the top of the list for me.

If you want to add art to the game (or chiptune music), please let me know. The art for the levels will be Newgrounds based (tank, Mr. Fulp, Pico, etc.). The art will be 5x5, 10x10, and 15x15.

Here is an example of a 15x15 Nonogram: iu_513800_8306752.png

    Here is the wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonogram

If you are interested in helping out with art or music let me know!

    Thanks!

I'm going to take a break from NG for a while. I need to dedicate more time to other activities in my life.

Here are a few works in progress that I started or have been a part of. They were wonderful opportunities to collab with others.

A project that I'm very proud of was a third-person shooter with paranormal aspects. @kidkerrigan and @LilSpook lent their voices for this project. The background music was pulled from @DanJohansen. The 3D assets were found online for free. There are a lot of bugs still in this video, but I think it's pretty cool. This video is quiet. Sorry about that.

Another collab was the Egg Jam game that I worked on with @Magibauble and @snailpirate. It's a pretty big project, but due to time haven't had much luck getting much done.

Another project I was working on was a music-based fighting game with @CorruptModule.

Thanks for all the support I have received from this wonderful community. Many thanks!

    Until next time!

The game recently crossed the 10,000 views mark which is awesome! It also got Daily Feature and Front Page!

I can't begin to describe how appreciative I am of this!

EFHH was a huge labor of love. I know that there were some bugs (still are), but it has been a blast to go back and find them for updates. There are over 240 programming scripts and scriptable objects (not including the levels, animations, audio, timelines, signals, nor Unity fields/objects/events), so debugging can be a little bit of a headache. I plan on making another patch before I move onto other things.

A huge shout-out to the team that helped make the game. A huge shout-out to Newgrounds and everyone who left comments to help me find bugs. Thanks to Tom for creating this magical place. Thanks to the FNF crew for lighting a fire in me to create a game like this. Also, thanks to PsychoGoldfish for the awesome Newgrounds.io.

After the next patch, I will start working on EFHH2. It will come out later this year (hopefully). We will double down on what we did well, learn from the mistakes we made, and make an overall better game than before (maybe even have a few surprises here and there)!

    Stay tuned!
